Job Summary

The Software Developer for Claims Applications will be responsible for the full lifecycle of application development within the HOST environment for one of Germany's largest insurers. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing business requirements from specialist departments, conceptualizing and implementing new software developments, conducting testing, and creating comprehensive documentation. The role also involves maintaining existing claims applications, analyzing business processes, and contributing to both daily operations and strategic IT projects. This position requires a background in Computer Science or related fields, deep expertise in HOST application development technologies like PL/1, Cobol, and CICS, and strong database knowledge (DB2/Oracle).
