Job Summary

The State Construction Office in Nuremberg is seeking dedicated Civil Engineers to join the Road Construction department, focusing on the planning, building, and maintenance of federal and state roads, cycle paths, and bridges across the Nuremberg metropolitan region. This permanent role involves taking responsibility for project leadership and control of complex infrastructure projects. Daily tasks include comprehensive planning, construction preparation, tendering, site management, and billing for construction projects. You will act as the client’s representative, ensuring quality of planning and execution while managing costs and timelines, coordinating safety, and liaising with authorities and external engineering firms. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Traffic, or Environmental Engineering, and possess excellent German language skills (C1 minimum).
