Job Summary

The State Construction Office Nuremberg (Staatliches Bauamt Nürnberg) is seeking a Project Manager or Project Associate specializing in HVAC and Building Services Engineering. In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects (HOAI phases 1-9) for the State of Bavaria, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the US Armed Forces. Your daily responsibilities include planning and executing systems for sanitary, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and building automation for both new constructions and renovations. You will work within interdisciplinary teams alongside architects and electrical engineers to ensure projects meet strict deadlines, costs, and quality standards. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, flexible working hours with mobile work options, and the opportunity to work on diverse, large-scale public and military infrastructure projects in the Middle Franconia region.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering (FH) specializing in Supply Engineering, Energy and Building Technology, or a related field; alternatively, a completed qualification as a Certified Building Technician with a focus on Supply or Building Technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Technical Building Services (TGA) is preferred
  • Experience in planning and executing construction projects across all HOAI service phases
  • Experience in interdisciplinary project teamwork involving architecture and electrical engineering
  • Experience in managing public or military construction projects is beneficial

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license and willingness to undertake regular business trips within the district; German language proficiency at C1 level (CEFR) required.
