Job Summary

This role is an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer specializing in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Control Systems, working with Siemens Energy in Erlangen. The core focus involves the creation, maintenance, and implementation of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, specifically utilizing Copa Data Zenon. Day-to-day tasks include developing technical specifications, manuals, and HMI concepts, defining functions and visualization requirements, and configuring the HMI software. The engineer will be crucial in integrating and validating HMI components in test setups, ensuring flawless configuration, and conducting acceptance tests with customers and suppliers. Key requirements include a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, proven experience in HMI system configuration (ideally Zenon), and strong practical knowledge of control system protocols like IEC 61850, IEC 101, and OPC. Success in this role demands excellent communication skills in both German and English, and the ability to thrive within complex project teams and technical customer communication.
