Job Summary

The SAP Senior Project Manager will take on a critical role in managing complex SAP implementation projects specifically within the Public Sector in Germany. Day-to-day responsibilities include comprehensive project planning, covering scheduling, resource allocation, quality assurance, and status reporting. A major focus will be on financial control, including cost planning, budget monitoring, and ensuring project profitability. The role requires utilizing the SAP Project Management methodology, based on PMI standards, and coordinating extensively with internal SAP teams (including Near/Offshore centers and Development) as well as external stakeholders like customers and partner vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong consulting experience in the Public Sector, proven success leading medium-to-large scale projects, and certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI PMP, PRINCE2). This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of public sector operations using SAP's cutting-edge technologies.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in (Business) Informatics, Business Administration, or comparable field. Project Management Methodology Certification (e.g., PMI PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.

Experience

  • Relevant multi-year consulting experience in the Public Sector environment
  • At least 50% of consulting experience must be in the SAP environment
  • Demonstrable success in leading projects of at least medium complexity and size (> 1,000 person-days)
  • Experience collaborating with Offshore/Nearshore resources and external service providers
  • Experience in managing virtual teams
