Job Summary

This senior role involves leading the Electrical Design and Software Development department, both technically and disciplinarily, for a 150-year-old premium machine tool manufacturer specializing in large-scale metalworking equipment. Key responsibilities include coordinating complex development projects in mechanical and plant engineering, strategically evolving the automation architecture using advanced Siemens technology (S7, TIA Portal, SINAMICS), and overseeing electrical planning with Eplan Electric P8. A critical component is ensuring full compliance with the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EG) and relevant safety norms (e.g., EN ISO 13849), including conducting comprehensive risk assessments. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, significant professional experience in mechanical engineering environments, and proven leadership skills, driving team development and technical standards while managing interfaces across different technical departments.
