Job Summary

This role invites a proactive and customer-focused individual to join a dynamic SME service provider in the Bern area as a Support Engineer. You will be instrumental in delivering 1st and 2nd level support via phone, email, and ticketing systems, focusing on incident and problem management related to system and software malfunctions. Key responsibilities include close collaboration with clients, on-site support personnel, and development teams. The position involves implementing necessary patches, changes, and releases, generating service reports, and maintaining crucial documentation and knowledge bases. Furthermore, you will contribute to quality assurance, project work, and the operation of the company's datacenter infrastructure, offering significant scope for personal and professional development within a flexible working environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Informatics (Federal VET Diploma in Computer Science) or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in 1st and 2nd level IT support
  • Professional experience in a comparable function if formal IT education is absent
  • Experience working with ticketing systems
  • Experience maintaining documentation and knowledge databases
