Job Summary
This role is ideal for professionals passionate about automation technology and precise control solutions. As a PLC Programmer, you will be deeply involved in the lifecycle of automation projects, including the programming of control and IT systems, project planning for plant automation, and commissioning of new control technology. Daily responsibilities include adapting existing software to evolving requirements, creating process visualizations, and conducting function tests. You will also train operating personnel and support maintenance teams in resolving issues related to Measurement, Control, and Regulation Technology (MCR/MSR). Key qualifications include strong PLC expertise (preferably ABB), a background in Electrical or Automation Technology (e.g., Industrial Electronics Technician or Master Craftsman), and initial professional experience. This is a permanent, full-time position (38.5 hours/week) offering daytime shifts, no regular weekend work, and excellent long-term development perspectives.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed training as an Industrial Electronics Technician, Technician, Master Craftsman, or comparable qualification in Electrical or Automation Technology.
Experience
- Initial professional experience in a comparable position is desirable
- Professional experience in function testing and commissioning
- Professional experience in training operating personnel
- Professional experience assisting maintenance with MCR problem solving
