Job Summary

This role involves the crucial planning, maintenance, and operational management of medium voltage (6 kV, 20 kV) and associated low voltage (400 V) electrical systems across the TU Darmstadt's extensive campus. Key responsibilities include acting as an authorized switching and system-responsible person, conducting complex switching operations during disturbances and construction, and ensuring compliance with VDE standards and safety regulations. You will also manage external maintenance contractors, inspect and test emergency power generators and battery systems, and maintain photovoltaic (PV) and compensation systems. The ideal candidate must possess a certified Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, specific authorization for switching medium and low voltage systems, and strong knowledge of control systems and relevant technical rules (VDE). This is a permanent, full-time position requiring high responsibility, independence, and readiness to work on-call outside regular hours.
