Job Summary

The Technical University of Darmstadt is seeking a dedicated Client Manager and IT Support Specialist to join its University Computing Center (HRZ). This role is crucial for maintaining the university's central IT services, focusing primarily on complex 2nd-Level Support for endpoint device management (Client-Management). Key responsibilities involve analyzing and resolving technical disruptions, coordinating 1st-Level Support, managing escalations, and executing technical onboarding for new clients (departments/institutes). The specialist will also define standardized solutions for hardware and software, and participate in cross-departmental IT projects. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent long-term professional experience. Essential technical skills include deep knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, networking, IT security, and practical experience with client management tools like Matrix42-Empirum. Fluency in German (C1) and good English skills are required, alongside strong communication and service orientation.

Experience

  • Extensive experience in handling at least one ticketsystem

  • Practical knowledge and experience with automatic software distribution and Client Management (e.g., Matrix42-Empirum)
