Job Summary

This role involves working within the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (IKIM) and the Data Integration Center (DIZ) to advance clinical data analysis and integration. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing clinical data for machine processing, developing and implementing automated ETL pipelines for data extraction from primary clinical systems, and establishing and maintaining a local Data Lake infrastructure for structured and unstructured data. A key focus is the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) for data extraction and ensuring medical, semantic, and processual interoperability through close collaboration with physicians and medical documentation specialists. The ideal candidate holds a scientific university degree in a relevant field and possesses strong programming skills, expertise in Data Science and AI libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn), and experience with Machine Learning and LLMs. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until the end of 2028, offering the stability of public service employment and opportunities for interdisciplinary work in a modern, family-friendly environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's or Diploma degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences, or a comparable scientific university degree.

Experience

  • Professional experience with Data Science and AI libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy, OpenCV (CV2))
  • Experience with ETL frameworks, databases, and Data Lake technologies
  • Experience with Machine Learning, especially Large Language Models
