Job Summary

This full-time, permanent role as a Telecommunications Technician supports the 86 Communications Squadron in Ramstein, ensuring the reliable operation of critical communication and IT infrastructure. The technician's daily responsibilities include the maintenance, repair, and installation of LAN, fiber optic, and antenna systems. Key tasks involve detailed diagnosis, troubleshooting signal disturbances in copper and fiber cables (including splicing and testing procedures), and adhering strictly to safety protocols, often in confined or underground areas. Furthermore, the role requires meticulous material and equipment inventory management, quality control, and comprehensive documentation of all work and projects.
