Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Cloud Storage Engineer to join the STACKIT Products division, contributing to the development and optimization of secure, independent European cloud infrastructure. The core responsibilities involve planning, operating, and optimizing storage clusters within cloud environments to ensure maximum stability and performance. The engineer will ensure reliable functionality of storage backends in container and cloud infrastructures, seamlessly integrating Open Source storage systems into Cloud-Native platforms. Key activities include analyzing bottlenecks, developing scaling strategies, and guaranteeing data security. The ideal candidate possesses solid experience with distributed storage systems (like Ceph), practical experience in cloud and container environments, and proficiency in automation using scripting languages such as Bash or Python. Fluency in both English and German is required for effective communication within international, agile teams, embodying an end-to-end 'You Build It - You Run It!' philosophy for critical cloud services.
