Job Summary

This role involves independently planning, coordinating, and executing complex digital Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure projects across Germany, supporting the mobility transition within the railway sector (DB InfraGO AG). The Planner will be responsible for creating high-quality design, approval, and execution plans for telecommunication systems, including fiber optic/copper cabling, transmission technology, video/WLAN systems, public address systems, and security installations. Key responsibilities include developing technical and economic solution concepts, managing the full tendering and contract execution process, and ensuring compliance with German regulations (HOAI, BAU STE). Candidates should possess a university degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or equivalent technical certification, coupled with initial planning experience in cable and IP technology, and proficiency in technical drawing programs like AutoDesk Autocad.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Communications Engineering or Electrical Engineering; OR Industrial Master Electrician (IHK); OR state-certified Communications Technician; OR equivalent knowledge gained through vocational training or extensive professional experience.

Experience

  • Initial planning experience in cable, transmission, and/or IP technology
  • Professional experience with relevant laws, regulations, and standards for construction measures (e.g., HOAI, VDE, DIN, EN)
  • Knowledge of railway-specific telecommunication systems (advantageous)
  • Experience in tendering, awarding, and contract execution processes
