Job Summary
This role involves joining a small, innovative team at DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH in Berlin, focused on supporting nationwide vegetation management through advanced geospatial technology. As a GIS Full-Stack Developer, you will manage the entire application lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to final implementation. Your daily responsibilities include database and architecture design, as well as front-end and back-end development of web applications. You will work with a wide range of vector and raster data, ensuring seamless data visualization and interaction for specialist users. A key focus is the development of modern REST APIs and the continuous refactoring of existing code to maintain high performance. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Geoinformatics or a closely related discipline; alternatively, a relevant vocational qualification with extensive professional experience.
Experience
- At least 4 years of professional experience in GIS or a related field with a university degree
- At least 10 years of professional experience required if applying with a vocational training background
- Practical experience in back-end and front-end programming using Python, JavaScript, and React
- Proven experience in the design of GIS architectures, data flows, and processing geospatial data
- Professional experience in database design and web application development
