Job Summary

This role is for a (Junior) Engineer specializing in Electrical Engineering, with a clear development path to becoming an Expert Railway Inspector (Design and Acceptance Tester) for DB InfraGO AG. You will be instrumental in ensuring the technical quality of planning and the successful commissioning of large-scale railway infrastructure projects, focusing on 50Hz electrical engineering. Day-to-day, you will perform technical design reviews, make critical decisions on construction sites to finalize project realization, and ensure strict compliance with railway-specific laws and technical regulations. The position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, extensive professional knowledge as a planning engineer, and experience managing complex planning tasks autonomously. You will undergo comprehensive qualification measures to achieve the necessary certification from the Federal Railway Authority (EBA). This position offers flexibility regarding work location within Germany (Frankfurt am Main or Saarbrücken being primary options) and the opportunity to work on projects vital to Germany's future infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Communications Technology, Railway Systems, Rolling Stock Technology, or comparable fields.

Experience

  • Extensive professional knowledge as a planning engineer
  • Experience in managing highly complex planning tasks with autonomy
  • Extensive experience in the construction and operation of Electrical Technology (ET) systems
  • Experience in railway operations
  • Potential existing recognition by the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) as an Expert Inspector for Design Review
