Job Summary

This role involves leading complex railway infrastructure projects focused on maintaining and repairing Signaling and Control Technology (LST) systems across Northern Germany (Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg, and Schleswig-Holstein). The successful candidate, an Electrical Engineer or equivalent, will manage the entire construction lifecycle, from planning and implementation through to final acceptance, often under challenging operational conditions. Key responsibilities include coordinating schedules, costs, quality, and performance, leading assigned technical staff (site managers, technicians, and craftspeople), and ensuring compliance with all legal and operational regulations, especially regarding occupational safety. The position requires strong technical expertise in railway infrastructure, the ability to quickly assimilate complex technical topics, and effective communication to advise clients on complex interlocking adjustments and signaling measures, ensuring the successful realization of critical maintenance projects.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university or technical college degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Automation Technology, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in managing and implementing maintenance projects in the infrastructure sector (desirable)
  • Knowledge of relevant legal provisions, guidelines, and regulations in railway infrastructure (desirable)
  • Experience in coordinating cross-project technical issues
