Job Summary

This role is crucial for ensuring the stability and security of the power grid during the energy transition. As part of the Control Center – Operational Planning team, you will link energy trading results with transmission capacities across power lines, proactively maintaining a secure and stable grid 24/7. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing day-ahead scheduling, ensuring accurate data transfer of physical injections and withdrawals, and validating trading capacities at border coupling points to enable day-ahead and intraday electricity trading across Europe. You will collaborate closely with national and European transmission system operators (TSOs) to assess supply security. Beyond operational tasks, you will act as a process specialist in project shifts, continuously improving systems and processes, and automating workflows using programming skills. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering, possesses strong technical knowledge of electricity grids, and is willing to work in a two-shift system (day and night shifts). Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2) are required for effective international collaboration.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or similar studies with relevant focus areas.

Experience

  • Professional experience in day-ahead scheduling management
  • Experience in determining and validating trading capacities (implied)

  • Initial experience in network calculation (advantageous)
