Job Summary

This role involves working as a Customer Support Engineer specializing in switching technology for Airbus Secure Land Communications, focusing on professional mobile radio solutions, including nationwide security radio networks. The core responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of digital switching systems, analyzing and resolving faults in voice switching and signaling, and configuring switching centers. The engineer will also execute software upgrades and patches in customer or test environments and collaborate on projects introducing new services and platforms within Tetra/Digital radio networks. Key requirements include a degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualification, extensive professional experience in IT/Information Systems, and deep knowledge of digital switching technology, ideally with practical experience on DXT (Nokia) systems. Fluency in German and good English skills are mandatory, along with proficiency in MS Office and Linux.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT System Electronics Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience with IT / Information Systems (multiple years required)
  • Extensive professional experience (long-term) if possessing vocational training as an IT System Electronics Technician
  • Practical experience with DXT (Nokia) systems (ideally)
