Job Summary

This role involves providing 2nd level support and complex problem management for advanced communication solutions within Airbus Secure Land Communications, focusing on public safety, defense, transport, and industry sectors. The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for the installation, setup, and maintenance of virtual and physical Linux servers (RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS) using HP hardware (Synergy, Blade Center, Proliant, 3PAR-Storage). Key duties include incident and problem management, contributing to operative release management for Core and Radio Networks, and handling change and configuration management. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Computer Science or a relevant IT qualification, strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, switching, routing, and VMWare, coupled with fluent German and English skills, making this a technically demanding and internationally focused position.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, IT Systems Electronics Technician, IT Systems Management Assistant, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in server environments (RedHat Enterprise Linux and CentOS)
  • Experience with HP server hardware (HP-Synergy, HP Blade Center, HP Proliant, HP 3PAR-Storage)
