Job Summary

This critical role involves managing the structural maintenance and operational safety of all engineering structures within the narrow-gauge subway network (Kleinprofil) in Berlin. The Civil Engineer will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from determining maintenance needs based on condition assessments to planning, tendering, construction supervision, and final acceptance of complex repair projects. A significant daily responsibility includes developing viable solutions for maintenance work executed under live rail operations and coordinating negotiations with multiple stakeholders to seamlessly integrate construction schedules into the operational workflow. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or possess equivalent long-term professional experience, coupled with excellent written and spoken German (C1).
