This leadership role involves overseeing the planning, operation, and maintenance of the electrical power supply for Berlin's subway network. You will lead a department of approximately 100 employees, managing the entire lifecycle of energy infrastructure—from initial planning and construction to modernization and decommissioning across all HOAI performance phases. Your daily responsibilities include ensuring the high technical availability of 10-kV and 400-V emergency lighting networks and UPS systems, while driving innovation through automation and digitalization. The position is ideal for an experienced leader who can balance technical oversight with strategic personnel management. Required Skills

Education

University Master's degree or Diploma in Energy Technology, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent knowledge gained through long-term professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in leading positions with a focus on electrical or energy engineering
  • Proven track record of leadership experience managing large teams (approx. 100 employees)
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of energy infrastructure projects across all HOAI phases
  • Practical experience with switchgear, energy distribution, and low-voltage systems
  • Experience in maintenance and modernization of high-availability electrical networks
