Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Finance and Controlling department at the Georg-August University Göttingen, focusing on financial and budget steering, planning, and execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with the preparation and execution of the annual economic plan, performing budget bookings, reconciling internal budget positions for year-end closing, and generating various ad-hoc and standard financial reports and budget overviews. The successful candidate will need a completed commercial or tax specialist apprenticeship, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent German language skills (C1 minimum). Required Skills

Education

Completed three-year commercial apprenticeship (e.g., Commercial Clerk or Tax Specialist) or Bachelor's degree in Economics/Business Administration

Experience

  • Completed three-year apprenticeship as a Commercial Clerk or Tax Specialist
  • Knowledge of SAP modules HR/FI/PSM is desirable
  • Professional experience in accounting is advantageous
