Job Summary

The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a full-time, permanent Biological Technical Assistant to join the General Genetics research group within the Institute of Biology. This role is crucial for supporting cutting-edge research into gene regulation and stress responses in plant model systems, utilizing modern molecular biological, biochemical, and genetic methods. Day-to-day tasks involve executing and analyzing genetic work (PCR, cloning, RNA/DNA isolation), cultivating and analyzing transgenic plants, and preparing media and materials for research and teaching labs. The ideal candidate must have completed training as a BTA/CTA or equivalent, possess strong skills in molecular biology techniques, and demonstrate excellent organizational abilities and meticulous documentation practices.
