Job Summary

This role involves leading and managing demanding sub-projects within electrical and energy supply technology, primarily focusing on public transport infrastructure (BOStrab systems, overhead line and traction power systems, ITCS) and engineering/building projects like combined heat and power plants. The Sub-Project Manager will be responsible for steering external specialized planning and construction supervision, acting as the client's representative during execution, and ensuring tight coordination with overall project management regarding planning, costs, deadlines, and quality. Key requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Electrical Power Engineering/Energy Supply Technology, combined with extensive professional experience in planning and realizing complex electrical systems, particularly in public transport or power plant construction. Success in this role demands strong project control skills, negotiation abilities, and comprehensive knowledge of German technical regulations (VOB, HOAI, BOStrab, VDE).

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electrical Power Engineering/Energy Supply Technology, or a Master's degree

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in planning, realization, and commissioning of electrotechnical systems
  • Experience in public transport infrastructure (ÖPNV) and/or power plant/energy systems construction is preferred
  • Foundational experience in project control, especially cost control, schedule management, and structured project execution
  • Experience in steering and professionally leading (external) employees
  • Long-term experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a Master's degree is required
