Job Summary

The Technical University of Dresden (TUD), a leading German research institution, is seeking an Information Security Officer to join its Support Center for Digitalization. This critical, full-time, permanent role involves coordinating information security measures and actively contributing to the protection of data and systems across research, teaching, and administration. The officer will advise the Rectorate, develop the university's information and cybersecurity strategy, and continuously advance the Information Security Management System (ISMS). A unique aspect of this position is the integrated collaboration with the Data Protection Officer. Key responsibilities include leading the TUD-CERT, managing security risk, conducting training and awareness campaigns, and ensuring compliance with BSI standards. Candidates must hold a relevant university degree in Computer Science or a related field, possess extensive knowledge of BSI 100-X and ISO 27001 standards, and demonstrate strong communication skills in both German (C1) and English.

Required Skills

Education

Scientific university degree in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, or a comparable field with informatics-related specialization, or equivalent knowledge and experience in the IT sector. Certification in BSI 100-X and ISO 27001 preferred.

Experience
