Job Summary

This role involves leading the creation and implementation of an integrated diocesan climate protection concept for the Diocese of Speyer, focusing on energy, mobility, procurement, and IT infrastructure. The manager will be responsible for developing energy and greenhouse gas balances, coordinating initial climate protection measures, and developing advisory services for parishes and church institutions. Key tasks include comprehensive process and project management, organizing internal workshops, contributing to public relations, and networking with key internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in environmental engineering or a related field, deep professional knowledge in climate protection and sustainability, and strong project steering and communication skills. This is a two-year fixed-term project position, federally funded, offering a unique opportunity to apply expertise in a values-driven environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (or equivalent qualification) in Environmental Engineering, Energy and Environmental Technology, Supply/Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental and Sustainability Science

Experience
