Job Summary

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to drive the renewal and maintenance of critical railway infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating projects across control and safety technology (LST), level crossing technology, radio and communication systems, and general electrical engineering. Key responsibilities include developing strategic concepts for renewing interlocking technologies, implementing ETCS train control systems, and expanding overhead line equipment. This position requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably specializing in control and safety technology, coupled with proven expertise in the planning, construction, or maintenance of these systems. You will ensure compliance with legal KRITIS requirements (Critical Infrastructure) and coordinate approval procedures with regulatory authorities, working closely with teams managing track infrastructure and operations.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a specialization in Control and Safety Technology, or equivalent specialized additional qualifications

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, construction, or maintenance of control and safety systems
  • Professional experience in communication technology or electrical engineering systems
  • Basic knowledge of track superstructure (Oberbau) and railway operations
