Job Summary

This is a product and implementation-oriented engineering role focused on developing and managing digital tools for occupational safety and health within the statutory accident insurance sector (BG ETEM) in Cologne. The successful candidate will lead projects, coordinate the development of new IT instruments with internal and external partners, and conceptualize and implement digital occupational safety tools, particularly in the BG ETEM service portal. Key responsibilities include translating technical prevention requirements into user-friendly digital solutions (e.g., risk assessments, instructions) and supporting the programming and optimization of Python-based portal modules. A crucial aspect of the role involves managing data processing records according to GDPR (Art. 30 DSGVO) and ensuring the technical quality and practical suitability of the digital tools provided. The position requires a scientific university degree (e.g., Informatics, Engineering), professional experience in occupational health and safety or digital application development, and excellent German language skills, along with a readiness to travel.
