Job Summary

This role involves supporting development and testing laboratories by configuring and maintaining radio devices and complex electronic systems. The technician will be responsible for configuring radio devices for lab use, performing necessary repairs, and upgrading both hardware and software components to maintain current standards. Key tasks include managing device inventory, coordinating with user departments, and acting as the primary contact for repair and modification requests, liaising closely with manufacturing and workshop operations. A crucial part of the job is proactive communication with test teams to identify and resolve defects, collaborating with hardware, firmware, and software teams, and tracking issues using life-cycle management tools like RTC and Jira. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as an Electrician, ideally supplemented by further training as a Technician or Master Craftsman, and possesses strong experience with SMD electronics and fine mechanical components. Excellent German language skills are mandatory for this Munich-based position.

Required Skills

Education

Electrician qualification (Ausbildung zum Elektroniker). Further training as a Technician or Master Craftsman is advantageous.

Experience

  • Professional experience in handling SMD electronic components
  • Professional experience in SMD soldering
  • Experience in radio technology and complex electronics (FPGAs and Embedded Systems) is advantageous
  • Experience in programming with Python is advantageous
