Job Summary

This role is for an Electrical Engineering professional to join the Siemens Mobility team, focusing on the development of critical hardware and functions for Relay Interlocking Systems (RSTW) used in rail transport across Germany and globally. The engineer will manage the entire development lifecycle for new interlocking functions (specifically SpDrS 60/SpDrS 600 and Self-Block/Relay Central Block techniques). Key responsibilities include gathering requirements from major clients like Deutsche Bahn, deriving specifications, developing new circuitry, integrating it into existing systems, and formally proving its function and safety through rigorous testing and documentation. The position requires managing the approval process with regulatory authorities, supporting customer acceptance, and providing expert knowledge during the product introduction into manufacturing, ensuring seamless and safe rail operations through innovative and reliable signaling technology.
