Job Summary

This PhD Candidate role is part of the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network (GenAIDE), focusing on developing collaborative AI systems for next-generation industrial engineering design. The successful candidate will research and implement a novel, visionary AI-based engineering companion utilizing Large Language Model (LLM) technology to interact with complex engineering optimization and design exploration spaces. Day-to-day tasks involve developing methods for interacting with mega-design spaces, reflecting multi-fidelity accuracy for decision-making, and integrating research results into industrial software. Required Skills

Education

Excellent Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences or Engineering

Experience

  • Strong motivation to conduct research in artificial intelligence in engineering
  • Solid background in machine learning and/or evolutionary optimization
  • Proven interest in generative models, XAI, optimization or CAD (preferred)
