Job Summary

The VBL, Germany's largest supplementary pension scheme for public sector employees, is seeking a Head of Operational IT Planning and Control to lead a newly established department within the Information Technology division. This critical leadership role involves building and managing the new unit, which centralizes IT procurement, contract management, service and asset management, financial planning, overall IT steering, and GoLive release management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical and personnel leadership of the team, actively shaping the strategic direction of the IT department, and ensuring secure, stable, and future-proof IT operations through effective planning and control of external IT service providers, including the subsidiary CONITAS. Key requirements include extensive leadership experience in IT, deep expertise in service steering and contract management, and a relevant university degree, ideally in Computer Science or Business Informatics.
