Job Summary

This pivotal leadership role involves establishing, building, and managing the newly formed IT Policy and Compliance department within VBL, Germany's largest supplementary pension scheme. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and driving the future-oriented IT strategy, including architectures for on-premise, cloud, and AI solutions. A core function is ensuring robust regulatory conformity by developing guidelines that adhere to external and internal standards such as DORA, BSI standards, Data Protection, and GoBD. Day-to-day tasks include personnel and technical leadership, process development for outsourced IT organizations, and representing the IT Department Head in strategic matters. This position requires proven multi-year leadership experience in the IT sector, a strong strategic understanding, and excellent communication skills in both German (C1) and English (C2), offering a secure, crisis-proof opportunity to actively shape the organization's digital transformation.
