Postdoctoral Researcher – Advanced MRI of Heart–Brain Interactions | Postdoctoral Research Position (m/f/d) – Advanced MRI of Heart–Brain Interactions
Deutsches Primatenzentrum GmbH
Job Summary
The German Primate Center (DPZ) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join a cutting-edge, third-party funded project focused on unraveling complex heart–brain interactions using advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). The role involves developing and applying state-of-the-art MRI techniques, including ECG/EEG-guided acquisition and real-time gating, to assess functional, metabolic, and structural parameters across both the brain and heart. This translational research spans non-human primate models and human applications, requiring expertise in MR Physics, Data Science, or Biomedical Engineering, coupled with strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, C/C++). This position offers access to advanced 3T and 9.4T MRI systems, substantial research freedom, and excellent national and international collaboration opportunities within networks like the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK), making it an ideal opportunity to advance a scientific career in quantitative, translational neuro-cardiovascular imaging.
