Job Summary
This role offers an exciting entry-level opportunity for graduates to launch a career in exhibition management and science communication at the German Primate Center (DPZ). As a Graduate Trainee, you will be deeply involved in the planning and implementation of a new exhibition titled 'Evolution of Primates.' Your daily responsibilities will include drafting exhibition texts, object descriptions, and social media content, as well as organizing guided tours and supporting events. You will also conduct visitor surveys and evaluations to measure impact. This position is unique because it combines hands-on project work with structured professional development, including external training and a residency at a museum or research institute. Working within a motivated communications team, you will have significant creative freedom to implement your own ideas while contributing to the public outreach of a leading Leibniz Institute.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in the field of Life Sciences.
Experience
- Initial professional experience through internships or work samples in a museum environment or science communication
- Experience in drafting professional texts for public audiences
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Experience in public interaction or safe appearance in communication settings
