Job Summary
The University Hospital Erlangen is seeking a certified Medical Physics Expert (MPE) to join the Medical Radiation Physics working group, contributing to high-level patient care, research, and teaching. This role involves comprehensive support for clinical routine, focusing heavily on advanced radiation planning, dosimetry, quality assurance, and radiation protection. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating complex treatment plans for stereotactic, image-guided, and adaptive radiotherapy, as well as various forms of brachytherapy (interstitial, intracavitary, surface). The MPE will also be responsible for regular quality assurance measures, assisting with technical issues related to linear accelerators and afterloading devices, and supporting incident investigation and risk management. Key qualifications include MPE certification under the German Radiation Protection Act (StrlSchG) with specialized knowledge in Teletherapy. This position offers a secure, full-time public service role with modern technology, opportunities for scientific development (including potential habilitation), and integration into a highly motivated, interdisciplinary clinical team.
