Job Summary

Join Apple's Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) layout team as an Analog Layout Engineer, focusing on developing world-class custom analog macros and IOs using the newest technology nodes. This role involves crafting complex layouts for mixed-signal and analog circuits in deep SubMicron CMOS technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing floor-plans with circuit designers, running comprehensive design verification tools (PDV clean layout), and interpreting LVS, DRC, and ERC reports to ensure robust and correct designs. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in AMS layout design, a high proficiency in custom floor-planning, and a deep understanding of issues like IR drop, RC delay, and electro-migration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, utilizing advanced CAD tools to deliver layouts that meet stringent matching performance, area, and power requirements, contributing directly to upcoming products that delight millions of customers.

Required Skills

Education

Master’s degree in Electric Engineering or relevant experience

Experience

  • Extensive experience in analog/mixed-signal layout design of deep SubMicron CMOS circuits
  • Experience crafting tight matching, low noise, and low power analog blocks, resistors, capacitors, pad IO's, and ESD structures
  • Professional experience in custom and standard cell based floor-planning and hierarchical layout assembly
  • Experience with analog and DFM standard methodologies
