Job Summary

As a 4G/5G Software Engineer at Apple, you will join the Cellular Software team to develop and validate next-generation cellular technologies and features. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the entire embedded software development lifecycle, including design, coding, and both pre-silicon and post-silicon testing. You will focus on creating and implementing verification strategies to ensure wireless products meet 3GPP specifications, internal design standards, and carrier requirements. This role is highly technical, requiring deep involvement in silicon design groups to productize innovative cellular Systems-on-Chip (SoCs). This position is ideal for engineers who want to work at the forefront of mobile connectivity and contribute to high-impact consumer technology. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded System Engineering, or Electrical/Information Engineering; or a PhD in a relevant field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven industry experience in cellular technologies such as UMTS, HSPA+, LTE, or NR
  • Significant experience in embedded software/firmware development or validation of cellular protocols
  • Experience in all phases of embedded software development including pre-silicon and post-silicon testing
  • Experience in GCF/IOT/Carrier Approval tests preferred
