Job Summary

This critical role places the engineer within the Cellular System-on-a-Chip (SoC) IP team in Munich, focusing on the development and integration of highly customized hardware IPs essential for digital signal processing within Apple devices. The core objective is to ensure IPs and SoCs meet stringent power, performance, and area goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining implementation strategies, driving timing closure, and optimizing power consumption in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary groups, including SoC architects, verification, and physical design teams. Candidates must possess strong hands-on experience in low-power hardware design for DSP, proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog modeling, and expertise spanning the entire project lifecycle from initial concept through silicon validation and in-field operation. This position offers end-to-end ownership of complex cellular IP components.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering, or equivalent

Experience

  • Professional experience in crafting low-power customized hardware for digital signal processing
  • Hands-on experience in multiple sophisticated ASIC or FPGA designs, spanning from concept to productization
  • Hands-on experience with digital logic design and quality checks (Lint and CDC/RDC)
  • Professional experience with digital logic design and quality checks
