Job Summary

The Friedrich Schiller University Jena is seeking a dedicated Financial Controller to join the central management office of the "Imaginamics" Cluster of Excellence, a major interdisciplinary research project. This full-time, temporary role is crucial for ensuring the financial success and smooth operation of the cluster. Day-to-day responsibilities include comprehensive financial controlling, managing budgetary affairs, and acting as the primary contact for all financial matters. The Controller will be responsible for planning and monitoring third-party and household funds, ensuring strict compliance with grant regulations, and developing a cluster-wide controlling system. Key qualifications include a relevant university degree and deep expertise in public sector budgeting, finance, and accounting. Candidates must bring proficiency in SAP modules relevant to controlling, procurement, and project systems, alongside knowledge of third-party funding law.
