Job Summary

This permanent, full-time Laboratory Engineer position at the Dual University of Saxony (DHSN) in Riesa involves supporting the Energy and Building Technology degree program. The core responsibility is bridging theoretical instruction with practical application by preparing, conducting, and following up on laboratory practicals and PC exercises. The role requires managing complex energy and experimental systems, ensuring technical safety, calibration, and documentation. You will be instrumental in developing and advancing the laboratory concepts, designing and integrating complex energy systems, and supporting research through scientific development work. Additionally, you will instruct students, train staff, and assist with grant applications and building management systems, making this a diverse role combining technical expertise, educational support, and research assistance.

Required Skills

Education

Required: Successfully completed relevant degree in Engineering Sciences (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent Dipl.-Ing. (BA/FH)) with a focus on Energy Technology, Supply and Building Technology, Environmental Technology, or related fields.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in a university environment or in the development, planning, operation, and/or execution of energy and building technology and MCRT
  • Experience in the development and integration of complex technical systems (Advantageous)
  • Experience in teaching and interest in innovative teaching concepts (Advantageous)
