Job Summary
This Materials and Processes Engineer role at Airbus focuses on driving the future of structural bonding technologies for airframe structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, qualifying, and deploying robust materials and associated processes specifically for bonded repairs of metallic, composite, and hybrid structures. Day-to-day tasks involve leading international research and development project teams, collaborating with material suppliers and universities, and ensuring the successful deployment of new bonded repair technologies throughout the Airbus supply chain. A key responsibility is managing material obsolescence and ensuring compliance with REACH requirements. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, coupled with profound knowledge of bonding technology, surface characterization techniques, and project management experience.
