Job Summary

This role involves joining a robust Engineering and IT team within the energy technology sector in Düren. The Network Administrator / Network Engineer will be responsible for the planning, configuration, and optimization of modern Cisco network infrastructures, including switches and routers. Day-to-day tasks include performing software and firmware updates according to best practices, managing IP-Management systems (covering configuration, fault management, IPAM, and performance monitoring), and analyzing security-critical reports (PSIRTs) to implement appropriate protective measures. The ideal candidate possesses a degree or comparable qualification in IT, coupled with several years of professional experience in comparable Cisco environments, excellent knowledge of IP networks (Routing protocols like IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS), and practical experience with Cisco Catalyst, ISR, and ASR devices.
