Job Summary

This PhD position is within the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1748, focusing on translational reproductive genetics and the genomic landscape of male infertility. The successful candidate will work in the research group of Prof. Frank Tüttelmann, aiming to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of two novel male infertility candidate genes. Day-to-day tasks involve planning, executing, and analyzing experimental work using advanced molecular biology techniques, collaborating with interdisciplinary scientists across multiple institutions, and engaging in publication and presentation activities. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in life sciences (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedicine), possess strong interest in human genetics and bioinformatics, and have prior experience with techniques like PCR, sequencing, and cell culture.
