Job Summary

This critical leadership role, based in Paderborn, Germany, involves leading and overseeing facility operations across the entire EMEA region, ensuring production plants, offices, and warehouses operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant standards. The Head of Building Infrastructure will directly manage the Paderborn Facility team and oversee external contractors, cleaning, maintenance, and janitorial services. A key focus is the operational maintenance and reliability of mechanical, electrical, and building systems across multiple sites, particularly the main production facility. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Project Managers on facility projects, manage complex operational issues, and ensure business continuity. This position requires strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to serve as the primary point of contact for critical facility concerns and to align operations with business priorities across the region.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years in Facility Management, preferably in large production facilities
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience leading multidisciplinary teams and multi-site operations
  • Experience managing service providers, maintenance teams, and cleaning services
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain buildings while ensuring compliance of mechanical, electrical, and other systems
  • Experience overseeing facilities in multiple EMEA countries and large production sites
