Job Summary

This role involves working at the intersection of electrical/information technology and German foreign and security policy within the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) in Eschborn. The Electrical and Information Technology Engineer will be responsible for creating independent technical expert opinions on export transactions that have security or foreign policy relevance. Day-to-day tasks include providing technical assessments for national and international listing of goods under export control law, and drafting technical reports for federal ministries and other authorities. This position offers a long-term, permanent perspective with opportunities for professional development in the critical area of technical export control, ensuring Germany's security interests are upheld against the proliferation of conventional and mass destruction weapons. Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor/FH Diploma) in a relevant engineering field and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
