Job Summary

This project-based role seeks a Development Engineer passionate about vehicle construction to actively shape the series readiness of components and assemblies within the body structure, focusing specifically on the side wall and roof. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing technical solutions while ensuring compliance with manufacturing processes, legal requirements, cost, weight, and interface specifications. The engineer will collaborate interdisciplinary with teams across passive safety, calculation, overall vehicle construction, quality, production, logistics, and procurement to drive industrialization until series application. Key qualifications include a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Vehicle Technology, profound knowledge of body construction, materials, and manufacturing methods, and proficiency in CAD and relevant engineering systems.
