Job Summary

This three-year, fixed-term position seeks an experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join the DGF-funded Collaborative Research Centre 1748, focusing on translational reproductive genetics. The primary goal is to identify and functionally characterize novel genetic causes of male infertility, particularly non-obstructive azoospermia. Daily responsibilities include planning and executing experimental work, analyzing large-scale genomic datasets using bioinformatic approaches, and characterizing genetic variants using molecular techniques like CRISPR/Cas9 in Drosophila models. The researcher will also supervise and train junior scientists (PhD, MD, Master), conceptualize new projects, and disseminate findings through publication and presentation.
