Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Automation Technician to take full responsibility for commissioning specialized pharmaceutical machinery. Day-to-day tasks include executing commissioning activities, integrating control systems like Siemens or Rockwell, and acting as the technical lead for software commissioning from initial setup through final customer acceptance. The role requires close collaboration with software, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration and standardization. Key requirements include a background as an Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Technician, or significant professional experience in special machinery construction, coupled with basic knowledge of PLC programming and Motion Control using major industry platforms. Success in this role demands a high willingness to travel globally to integrate and finalize systems at customer sites, strong problem-solving skills, and fluency in both German and English for international collaboration.

Required Skills

Education

Advanced training as a Technician in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Mechatronics; alternatively, vocational training with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in special machinery construction (minimum 5 years if using alternative education path)
  • Experience in commissioning pharmaceutical special machinery
  • Experience in leading software commissioning activities
  • Professional experience in system integration and technical coordination across disciplines
